The “Association of Retired Indian Council of Agricultural Research Employees” (abbreviated as ARICARE) was established with the initiative of a group of retired employees of ICAR from different ICAR Institutes who were residing in Kolkata and its surroundings. It was created to fulfill the long cherished desire of Retired Employees of ICAR who are residing in different parts of the country that a platform may be established to share their professional/ personal experiences, to meet their hurdles of life collectively and to perform useful services to the society. The Association was registered with the Govt. of West Bengal on 18th December 2014 (Registration No.SO229668 of 2014-2015) under Society Registration Act, 1961. The Primary aims of ARICARE are overall welfare of ICAR pensioners including Family pensioners and to do away with their fear, loneliness and agony at the old agein a collective manner rather than living in isolation. The Association has achieved remarkable successes on different vital common and individual issues of retired ICAR employees and Family pensioners. The various activities of ARICARE are executed by elected Governing body and Sub-committeesin close association with the members. The retired employees of ICAR living anywhere in India/ abroad can be a member of ARICARE. A large number of Family pensioners and retired ICAR employees from different ICAR Institutes throughout the country are already the member of ARICARE.
